Great Performances by Night Glider Racing Team at the Hodag Challenge Jan 5-6, 2019
Author: Rachel Kresse
Wonderful warm temps this weekend at Rhinelander to do 2 days of racing on a VERY hilly course. A lot of effort was put out by our NG Racing Team with some great performances. Sisters chasing down sisters and brothers trying to up their game always makes for an interesting race. Still waiting on some pictures so check back – we do have a few to post of the girls, but still waiting on some podium boy pictures. Day One put both Brett (5th) and Eli (10th) in the top ten finishers for the 7/8th grade boys division and William (1st) and Kota (10th) in the top 10 finishers for the 5/6th grade boys division. William won the race in 12.42 minutes with a very comfortable lead. Girls 7/8th grade division found Tori (5th) and Eleanor (9th) on Day One both in the top 10 while our 5/6th grade division had 3 in the top ten with Margaret (3rd), Rowan (6th), Lucy (7th) and Fiona just one place out of the top 10 in 11th place. Even though it was a tough course they came back the 2nd day with Evan (5th/6th grade) coming in with a 7th place finish and Eleanor (8th) and Tori (10th) again gaining top 10 status. Day 2 also saw another great performance by our 5/6th grade girls with Margaret moving to a 2nd place finish Rowan holding on to 6th and Fiona making that 10th place finish. If interested in other results, they can be found at www.superiortiming.com. What matters in all this is that the kids skied their best and found joy in the snow and warm temps. Congratulations to all who took part and on to the next one! Check out our Night Glider little sister wanna Bs.
