Join us for the 2022 Grind Up Granite Event to be held on August 28. The race will start at South Mountain School and make it’s way up to the top of Rib Mountain finishing near the observation tower. You can choose to use either classic or skate roller skis, or you can ski both events. The race is part of the CXC Swenor Cup Roller Ski Series, but you do not have to be a participant in the series to do the race. Those involved in the series will need to ski both events to be eligible for series points.

- Swenor Cup – will include high school and adult skiers who ski both events and are participating in the series. There is an extra $5 fee for Swenor Cup participants and they will use Swenor roller skis provided by the series organizers.

Parking, registration and awards afterwards will be held at South Mountain Elementary School in the parking area.
The Start will be on the street in front of the school on Fern Lane. The course will proceed to Violet Lane and then turn to head up State Park Road. The finish will be near the observation tower at the top of Rib Mountain which is the furtherest point into the park by road. Please note there is a speed bump that skiers will need to negotiate at the ranger station as you reach the top of the hill to enter the park. The right lane will have a barrier that will be raised during the race and you should use that side. A course map and elevation provile will be posted here in the coming weeks.
