Nine Mile Closed During Gun Hunts

 In Uncategorized

This is just a reminder message regarding the status of Nine Mile over the 9 day deer gun hunt as well as the following muzzleloader season and doe-only hunt in early December. While these deer gun seasons are in progress, Nine Mile will not officially open for skiing regardless of snow conditions. This means the chalet is closed. However, should snow fall that needs to be groomed in accordance with proper grooming practices, the County will groom the trails. If skiers want to ski, it would be advised to do this at night when hunting is closed. If daylight skiing, blaze orange is strongly recommended for outerware. Once the deer gun seasons are completed, the County will determine an official opening date that is snow and condition dependent with a target date on the Monday, December 12, after the close of the Anterless Hunt on December 11.

Good luck to the deer hunters on a successful and safe hunt.

Hunting Seasons:
9 Day Deer Gun Season – November 19-27
Muzzleloader Season – November 28-December 7
Anterless Only Season – December 8-11
