Snekkevik Update – Adult Races Cancelled

Due to the poor trail conditions at Nine Mile, we are going to cancel the adult races for the Snekkevik scheduled for this weekend and move the High School and Middle School races to the Tribute Golf Course on Wausau’s east side.

The conditions at Nine Mile have been a challenge since the first snowfall when we got some rain, followed by wet snow that brought down a trees, branches and other debris on the trail. The Club has contributed many people-hours of help along with the County personnel to try and get the trails open, but the recent warm spell compounded things by exposing a good deal more material on the trails and made them unsuitable for racing.
