Nine Mile Forest

Chalet open seasonally from 9am - 9pm Monday - Friday, 8am - 9pm on Saturdays, and 8am - 5pm on Sundays

Warming area with wood stove, bathrooms, and drinking fountains.

Adult day pass is $12 ($7 after 5pm) and a full equipment rental is $15. Youth 12 and under ski free. Youth rental $10.

Nine Mile Cookie Loop

Perfect for children or adult beginners, the Cookie loop is a well marked 1.7 mile (short 3K) trail with gentle hills starting on main street. The trail passes multiple mailboxes at which children can punch their cookie card (ask at the front desk!). When you return to the chalet, exchange your full card for a treat!

Nine Mile Trail System

Nine Mile County Forest has over 30K of cross-country ski trails on 4,900 acres over a variety of terrain with loops suitable for the novice to expert skier.

Cross Country Ski trails are double tracked with a skating lane and are generally one-way.

Almost 4 miles (6.3 km) of trails are lighted nightly until 9 pm during the ski season.

The 30 km of beginner to expert, signed and mapped trails are open December 15 through March 15 weather and snowfall permitting.

A 6.7 mile Snowshoe trail is available. Snowshoeing is not allowed on the cross country trails, a snowshoeing pass is required.

Leashed dogs allowed except on groomed trails.
