Youth Teams

Snow Striders

  • Grades K4-4

  • Phases 1 & 2

  • Skis and boots provided at practice only

  • 5 weeks (Sunday only)​

Adventure Team

  • Grades 3-8

  • Phases 1 & 2

  • Rental skis and poles provided

  • Must have 1 pair Combi ski boots

  • Practice two nights a week.

  • racing is optional

Middle School Racing

  • Grades 4-8

  • Phases 3-6

  • Skis (both race & “b” skis) and poles provided by Wausau Nordic Ski Club.

  • Must have 1 pair Combi ski boots

  • Practice 3 nights/week plus frequent weekends

  • 10-15 races including travel out of town

High School Racing

  • Grades 9-12

  • Phases 4-6

  • Equipment rental and support available

  • Racers should work towards owning own gear for lifetime pursuit of the sport

  • Practice 3-4 nights/week plus races most weekends. Travel required.

Wausau Nordic Ski Club membership is also required in addition to applicable team and race fees.
