Nine Mile Recreation Area – Season Opening Update

We’re excited to share that the winter season is off to a strong start, with significantly more early-season snow than we’ve seen in recent years. As a result, the Nine Mile chalet will open for the season on Monday, December 15, for biking, skiing, and snowshoeing.

Chalet Hours

• Monday–Friday: 9 AM–9 PM

• Saturday: 8 AM–9 PM

• Sunday: 8 AM–5 PM

Ski Trail Conditions

• Average base depth: approximately 5" after rolling yesterday’s snowfall

• Grooming this week will begin on our highest-use trails (Y, Main Street, and the Lighted Loop)

• Additional trails will be combed and prepped as the week progresses

• All trails are currently skiable, even without the comb

• Due to early-season conditions and the 5" base, classic tracks will not be set until we receive more snow
